Today is the sixteenth anniversary of my Mom Vicky's Glioblastoma brain surgrey at Swedish American Hospital! I remember it was a very tough day and frightening for my family and I! We had too be at the hospital at 9:00am so the doctors and nureses could prep her for surgrey! Her surgrey was at 2:00pm My Dad John my Grandma Alice my Aunt Marica my Uncle John, my Uncle Nino, my Grandma Bena and I were all in the waiting room hoping and praying for a marvelous recovery!
After about six hours Dr. Alexzandar came out too the waiting room and told my family and I that my Mom DID survive the surgrey but he only could take about the size of a grapefruit of the tumor out! All of us were very anxious and excited too see her, she was very tired and happy for the surgrey to be over with!
All of us had many tears of happiness! I went home with my Aunt Marcia and Uncle John for two weeks so my Dad John could take care of my Mom Vicky and have some quailty time together!
When my Dad brought my Mom home from the hospital for recovery, she walked from the car with her walker and sat down on the couch too rest, the very nest day her whole right side was paralyzed!
I helped her as much as I could! My Dad John was a WONDERFUL and DEVOTED husband he took care of my Mom Vicky WONDERFULLY! I also NEVER wanted too leavve her side!
She had rehab at Van Mater rehab center, my Grandpa Bill was also there recovering from his stroke so he and my Mom had their meals togther which was neat!
I also helped my Mom as much as I could by helping her with her thearpy, being there for support! I learned a lot of my strength and motivation from my Mom she was one of the strongest woman I've ever known! Sadly she lost her battle with Glioblastomia and passed away on Sunday June 19th 2005 at 2:10am at the age of 49 years old!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-91747402772600502912021-04-01T11:35:00.033-07:002021-04-01T13:08:12.081-07:00TODAY IS THE ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY THAT I MOVED INTO MY APARTMENT COMPLEX AND BEEN LIVING INDEPENDENTLY! Hi Everyone!
Today is the eleventh anniversary of me living independently! I have new Personal Assiatant or PA and her name is Cindy! Cindy has worked for me for six years this year and we have be become wonderful friends! I never would have dreamed I would ever have a place of my own! I love my independence! I take Para Transit every Monday and Wednesday with my motorized scooter too Rockford Pain Mananagement for Physical and Massage Thearpy too help my muslces stay loose enough so I can still walk with my walker! I also get Traumeel and Hyalgon injections in my knees! Hyalgon rebuilds the cartledge and the Traumeel is for pain!
I'm hoping I'll be able to go swimmimg in my Dad's gigantic olympic size inground swimming pool as much as possiable this summer! In the pool I can run skip jump and walk normally without any pain, in other words I'm FREE!
Since the Cornoa viruis hit I'm not able too visit my best friend Sarah who has Multiple Sclerosis or MS! Sarah has lived at River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford since 2013 but I have known Sarah since April 2010! We talk on the telephone as often as we can! It'll be nice when I can go visit Sarah again!
I hope everyone follows the heart and lives out their dreams because you only have ONE LIFE TOO LIVE so MAKE THE BEST OF IT!
I hope all of my dear reader's have a Happy Easter with their familes!

Today is the sixth anniversary of moving into my apartment! I've made my goal in becoming a young disabled independent adult! Everything is a struggle in my life but somehow I make things look easy! When you have struggles you have too work for what you want because no one is going too give it too you! You have to earn it yourself and make your life work for you! It's doesn't matter what other people think, it matters how you as a disabled person can survie independently!
Although I need assistance from other people I still am independent as I can be and that WILL continue my entire life! I'm very proud of the success I've made! I wish other people would be as brave as I have been! Sure everyone is scared if you NEVER try and experience new opportunities you'll never be independent enough too have your own life!
I have chosen too be independent and work too the BEST of my ab<strike></strike>iltiy to achieve everything I want in life! So far everything I choose too do is working GREAT for me! NEVER be afraid too ask someone for help! People without CP, I call "normal" don't have a clue on what it takes for me too live my life but I also make it look easy when in reality it's NOT!
I hope all you viewers take my advice!<strike></strike>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-38230819813601113832015-11-19T17:18:00.000-08:002015-11-19T17:18:45.815-08:00TODAY MY APARTMENT COMPLEX HAD IT'S THANKSGIVING DINNER!Hi Everyone!
Today my apartment complex had it's Thanksgiving dinner at 1:00pm in the community room! They ordered it from ABC Catering! We had turkey,stuffing mashed potatoes, lettuce salad, gravy and pumpkin pie squares for dessert! Everything was great! They provide a Thanksgiving luncheon and a Christmas luncheon for us! Many people with disabilities can't get out or get too see their family so this the only holiday they have!
That's why I stay as independent as possible so I can have the I life I choose! I just got back from Colorado visiting my family! We saw West Side Story as a dinner theater, it was AMAZING!
I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving holiday with their families!

A LOVING TRIBUTE TOO A WONDERFUL MAN THAT WILL LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS FOR A LIFETIME!Hi Everyone!
Today would have been my Uncle John's 68th birthday! It's day also of mixed emotions for me! My Uncle John was one of the kindness men in the world that would put his wife children and family before anyone or anything else! He was one of the hardest workers that I knew plus if anyone was in need he would stop what he was doing and help them!
He always accepted me as his third daughter and didn't look at my C.P.! My Dad John is also like that! I wanted too honer the two men that I admire the most in my life! My Uncle John taught me how too drive the PUG around the farm! There are SO many memories of the WONDERFUL man that we lost! I wish all of you knew him! He did everything he could too include in what ever he was doing even though it was difficult because of my C.P., but he made it work! It's a shame he and my Mom are NOT physically here too see start my adult independent life in my own apartment! They would be SO proud of me!
I hope he's resting in peace! Uncle John, you were the best and never be forgotten! You will live on in my heart and my memories for a lifetime!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-31407760997966015402015-04-01T17:41:00.001-07:002015-04-01T17:42:43.567-07:00TODAY IS THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF ME MOVING IN MY APARTMENT!Hi Everyone!
Today is the fifth anniversary of me moving into my own apartment! It's been a life changing experience for myself and my family! It has shown me that I can have my own independent adult life! I have made many friends, just think if I was living at home I NEVER would have got too enjoy and experience new opportunities that arise my way! It's a shame that my Mom Vicky or my Uncle John weren't alive too see me move in my own apartment and become the young independent woman I am today!
I'm very pleased with my progress! It's NOT meant for disabled people too live in a world that is NOT designed to suit your needs! As a disabled person you have too make accomedations that are comfortable and easy for you! If people don't agree with the kind support and help you need then they are not meant to be in your life!
I'm lucky that my family and friends agree too support my wishes, feelings, and include me in their lives because many people in my position are forgotten about or put in a nursing home because their families don't want too worry about them!
So dear readers, if there's any way possible of being independent DO IT because you are only helping yourself, if you DON'T do it your are only harming yourself and not experiencing new horizons!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-9851164320623000152015-03-24T18:55:00.001-07:002015-03-31T18:27:25.509-07:00THREE MONTHS AGO I HIRED A NEW PERSONAL ASSISTANT!Hi Everyone!
Three months ago I hired a new Personal Assistant and her name is Cindy Wilson-Moore! She is very helpful and does anything I need or ask of her! Joy just didn't work out after awhile and I had her for five years! After awhile wanted things done her way! That's NOT how a Personal Assistant is suppose too treat you! They are suppose too do what you need and want NOT what they want too do! Things are getting more difficult for me physically as I get older! But I NEVER let that stand in my way! My apartment complex has started a sit down Zumba and a Bingo class in the community room once a month!
I enjoy that very much! I do anything I can too keep my body as active as possible but having Asthma and C.P., doesn't make my life any easier but that doesn't stand in my way! Me getting older doesn't help things but, I just keep on plugging!
I miss my Mom Vicky every day but she taught me how too be independent and gave me the skills I need too survive, it's just a shame that she can't enjoy my adult life with me! She would be very proud of the young adult that I've become and having my own life! My Dad John is very proud of me!
My best friend Sarah had too move too River Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford IL. two years ago because sadly her M.S. progressed too where she could not live independently any longer! I go visit her when I can! She enjoys my visits very much!
My Dad John does everything he can too make my life as easy as possible! He comes over too my apartment too visit me every week or so! So all in all my new year has been exciting!

Today would have been my Mom's Vicky's 59th birthday! I can't believe she'll be gone ten years next June 19th! That just shows people that they DON'T live for ever! On my Mom's birthday, Mother's Day, her weddong anniversary and Christmas I always think of her and remember how much she enjoyed living and spending happy times with her family! She always told me how much she loved me and how special and important I was too her! My Dad John and I were her world!
We miss her very much! She taught me the tools that I need too survie! It's a shame that she wasn't physical here too see me become a young independent adult and have my own apartment! But I know she knows that I'm ok with whatever I decide too do with my life and who ever I meet! Have a wonderful birthday Mom! I love you ALWAYS!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-86688501318809860802014-06-19T16:05:00.000-07:002014-06-19T21:03:17.865-07:00TODAY WITH BE THE NINETH YEAR OF MY MOM'S PASSING AWAY FROM GLIOBLASTOMIA!Hi Everyone!
Today will be the nineth year of my Mom Vicky's passing away from Glioblastomia! She was a WONDERFUL woman that lives on in me! I can't imagion how much pain she was in! She was only 49 years old when she passed! But she she's out of pain with her Parents, Grandparents Uncle and Brother-in-law!
She wanted the best for everyone! She always thought of people before herself! She used too say "How can I help people"? My Dad John lost his soulmate and the love of his life too a TERRIBLE brain tumor! No one deserves the pain and heartache of something that tramatic but if we ALL believe in God we'll be fine! No one will EVER take my My Mom's place and I DON'T think anyone will ever try!
So reader's treasure your Mom's and also spend as MUCH time as you can with her! You NEVER know when the LAST time you can give your Mom a hug,tell her you love her and that she's the MOST important person in your life!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-48255164517635268412014-04-12T17:26:00.004-07:002014-04-30T11:26:22.182-07:00TODAY WILL BE THE NINETH ANNIVSARY OF MY MOM VICKY'S BRAIN SURGUREY!Hi Everyone!
Today is the nineth anniversary of my Mom Vicky's brain surgurey! Her surgurey was at 2:00 pm.! I remember it liike it was yesterday! My Mom road in the backseat with me on the way too the hospital! The surgrey took ALL day! After the day was over my Dad and I went too my Mom's room too see her! Then I went home with my Aunt Marcia and Uncle John for two weeks!
Then she passed away June 19th three months later! My Mom was one of the most generious people who would give the shirt off her back! She was valavictorian of her class and on the honerrole!
After two weeks was over my Dad came and brought me back home so I could spend as much quality time with my Mom while she could still think and talk before the tumor took over!
I wish everyone had a <b>WONDERFUL </b>Mom like mine! She was my entire life!
She helped become a young independent adult and part of the reason that I'm living independeently in my own apartment is because of her! She was a <b>REMARKABLE<strike></strike></b> woman who lives on in me!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-67696360541419072092014-04-01T13:21:00.006-07:002014-04-01T13:30:13.655-07:00FOUR YEARS AGO TODAY I MOVED INTO MY APARTMENT TO START MY NEW INDEPENDENT LIFE!Hi Everyone!
I just would like everyone to know that four years ago today, I moved into my new aparment! I enjoy living on my own! I've made many friends and I decide what I choose too do with my life! Even though I need help I still have a independent life! I hope I can continue too live an independent life for years to come! I know my Mom and my Uncle would also be very proud of my progress of independence! I was lucky too have my Grandma come visit before she passed away! She got too see me living independently and met all my new friends!!
Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-30399073934403479512014-03-18T17:07:00.003-07:002014-08-17T10:51:33.487-07:00TODAY WOULD HAVE MY MOM AND DAD 36TH ANNIVERISARY AND MY COUSIN LAURA AND I WENT OUT TOO LUNCH AND SHOPPING!
Hi Everyone!
Today would have been my parenets 36th anniversay! Thay had a fairytale marriage come true that most couples dream about having! They were eachother's soulmate and best friend! They always did things mutuallly and never had one <b>TRUE</b> argument! Then three years later I came on the scene and their lives had too change drasticly because they had a daughter with C.P. and other problems but they also decided that they would make my life as easy, comfortaable and loving as they could! Now I'm an adult living on my own in my own apartment and have my own life!
Also today my cousin Laura and I went out too lunch and shopping, we had a <b>BLAST</b>! We are going too try to do that once a month! It's so nice too have people love and care about you and <b>DON'T</b> look at your disablity, they look at you like you're a normal person! That's a <b>WONDERFUL<strike></strike></b> feeling! If there is anything you want too do in your life <b>DO IT</b> because you<b> ONLY</b> have <b>ONE </b>life to live! Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-33078805401026614902014-03-04T19:06:00.005-08:002014-03-05T18:12:30.403-08:00TODAY MY APARTMENT COMPLEX HAD A MARDIGRA DINNER!Hi Everyone!
Today my apartment complex had a Mardigra dinner in the community room! Everyone brought a dish too pass there was rice, coleslaw, vegetables dounuts and cupcakes! It was very good! I hope everyone celebrated today! When you have Cerebal Palsy, any disablity or a disease sometimes you have make your own enterainment and do things you enjoy! It's no ones responsinbilty too make you happy! That up too you!
People will help you if you ask them nicely but they <b>DON'T</b> have too help you do anything! I'm lucky I have friends and family that are willimg to be part my life because a lot of disabled people don't have that privliage! I'm thinking about volounteering so least I can get out and meet more people!
Someday I would like too get married but I'm <b>NEVER</b> going too meet anyone sitting my apartment, so the choice is up too me and no one else! So if any of you have a dream do your best to full fill it because even though your disabled dossn't mean you can't have your own life and do things you enjoy!<strike></strike>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-82340153414633896032013-09-29T16:30:00.000-07:002013-09-29T16:58:03.076-07:00TODAY WAS KELLYS BABY SHOWER AT MY AUNT MARCIA'S HOUSE!Hi Everyone!
Today was my cousin Matt's wife "Kelly's"baby shower at my Aunt Marcia's house! Everyone got the about 1:00pm. it lasted until 4:00pm! We had fruit, crosant sandwiches, and angle food cake for dessert, then Kelly opened up her gifts, which were very nice, then everyone said their goodbye's and went home! It was a very nice day! I know Matt and Kelly will make<b> WONDERFUL</b> parents!
<b>NEVER</b> be afraid to do things you really want too do, life has it'a challanges but if you're strongwilled you can do anything! Work for the best and try your hardest to achieve what you want in life, who knows it may happen for you as well, just keep a positive additude on life! Now that I'm older things are more and more difficult for me to do but I do what I can for myself! I hope all you take my advice to heart! It's<b> NOT</b> easy living wirh C.P., it's one most exsauhting challenages you'll ever indure, but always keep a positive additude and everything will come out right in the end!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-2476902957132928152013-08-24T21:51:00.002-07:002013-08-24T22:01:30.771-07:00I JUST RETURNED HOME FROM A WONDERFUL VISIT TO COLORADO TOO VIST MY FAMILY!Hi Everyone!
I just returned hone from a <b>WONDERFUL</b> visit too Colorado to visit family! My Uncle Nino and I went too see Ben Haeper play at the rock fest that weekend! He was awsome! I stayed with my Aunt Cindee and Uncle Will, we had a cocktail party and that was a lot of fun! I also spend time with my cousin Kate and her husband Gerritt and their percious kids Blake and Melinda! We all went too the park and had a picnic!
My Aunt Cindee and I went too see The Sound of Music at a dinner theater which will be something I'll never forget!
<b>NEVER</b> be afraid too expand your horizons, just because you have C.P. ot any disabilty dosen't mean that you are different! <b>YOU</b> have too make the descions on <b>WHAT</b> you want your life too be! <b> NO </b>one can make them for you! That's why I always stress to everyone "Be as independent as possiable"! In the long run it will make a <b>HUGE</b> differance in your lives, but <b>YOU</b> are the only one that can decide want you want your life to be! I choose too be as independent as I can! I know that my family and friends will <b>ALWAYS</b> help me if I need it, but I'm the one that has to make decisons on what I want my life too be and no one can make that dexsion for me!
I hope all of you listen and understand what I'm trying too teach you! My family and friends hekp and also choose too be part of my lide! You can't make someone love you and be apart of your life it has too be their choice, I'm just fortinate enough that my family and friends vhoose too accept me and want to be part of my life! Try everyday too be as <b>INDEPENDFENT</b> as possiable it will make your lives more fullfilling knowing that you can take care of youraeleves and hopefully live independently on your own someday like I have achievd! <b> YOU</b> are the only one that can make that happen, your family and friends are<b> NOT</b> responsible for your happiness and wsellbeing! They will always be there too help you and be there for love and sopport but you are the <b>ONLY</b> one that<b> YOU</b> can make the differance plus choose<strike></strike> which path you want your life to lead!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-81035910613240163702013-04-12T16:12:00.003-07:002013-06-08T11:37:38.675-07:00TODAY WOULD THE BEEN MY MOM VICKY'S 8TH ANNIVERSARY OF HER BRAIN SURGREY!Hi Every<strike><strike></strike></strike>one!
Today would have the eight anniverssay! She was a fighter until the end! She also was a very <b>SPECIAL</b> person! She always told me that she learned a a lot of strength from helping me with my surguries and threapy! When the cancer took over and my Mom could no longer walk or talk, she asked me what to do? I told her, you need too work the hardest you ever worked in your entire life,it won't be easy but you can do it!
It was very difficult for her not too be able too stand and walk by herself!
Her brain surgurey was at 2:00 p.m. eight years ago today! She did survie her surgurey! I went home with my Aunt and Uncle, they told my Dad that they would keep me as long as he needed them too! I stayed with them about two weeks, then the hosipital released my Mom too come home! But she still had to go too rehab! Visitng Nurses came too my Dad's home too take care of my Mom! I spent as <b>MUCH</b> time as I could with my Mom!
My family and I lost a very<b> SPECIAL </b>person, that we <b>NEVER</b> can replaced! My Mom touched everyone differently and special in her own way! In spirit she will <b>ALWAYS</b> be with us!

Today my <b>WONDERFUL</b> parents Vicky and John would have been married for 35 <b>AMAZING</b> years! They had a fairytale marriage that most couples could dream about having! They were eachother's soulmate and best friend! I'm sure having a child with a disablity was not the top piority on their list and not easy by any means, but as a couple always seemed too make it work! My Mom and Dad worked as a team on everything they decided to<strike></strike>o do!
They taughht me respect and how too be independent as possiable! They <b>NEVER</b> had one true argument their whole marriage, which is very rare! I'm very grateful for the parents I have! I wish my Mom was still with us but she will <b>ALWAYS </b>be with my Dad and I in spirit!

I have some bad news, my Grandma Bena passed away from Limphoima yesterday morning around 2:10 A.M. When I saw her in February she was pretty good but in a <b>LOT</b> of pain! I think she was waiting for me too see her one last time! She was my Mom's Mom! She was 91 years old!
She was a<b> HUGE</b> part of my life, she always took me to my thearpy appointments, took care of me when no one else could or would! She had a <b>BEAUTIFUL </b>singing voice, she was a seamtress, and knew how too bake! She always treated me with respect and always made me feel loved and important regaurdless of my disablity! She and I also went too Detroit and Texas too visit family!
She cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and anyone that was special too her! I wish all grandmothers were like my Grandma Bena, she was a very<b> SPECIAL</b> person that I will always remember, love, and cherish!
Now she finally is out of pain and in heaven, with her parents Rose and Tony, my Grandpa Tony, my Mom Vicky, her brother Tom, her best frind Tereasa, and my Uncle John! There probably having a good old time reminicing about the good old days! We all will miss her very much! We love you Grandma!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-38490842964979415142013-03-11T13:32:00.000-07:002013-03-12T12:59:11.137-07:00 TODAY IS THE SEVENTH YEAR OF MY UNCLE JOHN"S PASSING! Hi Hi Everyone!
Today will be the seventh anniversary of my Uncle John's passing! Let me tell you a little bit about him! My Uncle John was a very special person! He was a hard worker, a wonderful husband and father! He would go way beyond his responsiblities to help anyone in need! His wife, children,and grandchilderen were his number one priority before anything or anyone else!
He was on the Pecatonica school board and worked hard on his farm! He was a second father too me and he also was my Godfather! He wanted his children too acheive everything they could in life and experience the very best! My Aunt Marcia and Uncle John raised three wonderful children, who learned too achieve and work hard for what they want in their lives, if it hadn't been for my Uncle John and my Aunt Marcia, their kids wouldn't have turned out as well as they have!
My Uncle John always could make you laugh, that was one of the most things I loved about him! He and I used too have a joke, I would call him the "OLD GUY" and he would get on the floor, tickle and wrestle with me! But as I got older he and I would still joke around like that! His nickname for me was bobo!
At Chirstmas he would put a santa hat on a give out Christmas gifts and then after opening gifts with the family he would start a <b>HUGE</b> paper ball fight! My Uncle John would usally win!
He was physically very strong! He would hall me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and think nothing of it! There are so many I could tell all of you about my Uncle John but I would writing for days! All of us the knew loved him lost a very <b>SPECIAL</b> that never replaced! He's out of pain now so that's the most important thing, he's also up in heaven with my <b>WONDEFRFUL</b> Mom Vicky, having a good old time!<strike></strike>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-37405193400259346352012-12-17T16:10:00.001-08:002013-03-11T13:47:04.116-07:00TODAY MY APARMENT COMPLEX HAD THEIR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON FOR TENATS ONLY!Hi Everyone!
Today my apartment complex had their annual Christmas luncheon for tenats<b> ONLY</b>! The had vegetable lasagna, baked chicken, potato salad, lemon bars, cookus and fudge for dessert! The Christmas tree was beautifully decorated! The have a Thanksgiving and Christmas lucheon every year! People put a Christmas design on their apartment door for a door design contest, four names will be picked and whose name gets picked will win a pize for the best design!
I hope everyone has a <b>WONDERFUL</b> Christmas with their friends and families!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-49016060901957261752012-11-20T21:39:00.001-08:002012-11-20T22:29:59.031-08:00TODAT MY AUNT MARCIA I WENT CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!Hi Everyone!
Today my Aunt Marcia and I went Christmas shopping at the mall! I bought some very nice things for family and friends, then we went too have lunch in the food court! We also went too Khoals! I think my friends and family will like all their Christmas gifts this year!
I will be having Thanksgiving dinner at my Dad's house also my best friend Sarah and I will be watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade together! Even though holidays are still hard for me I still keep a open mind and try and remember that my <b>WONDERFUL</b> Mom Vicky would want me too be happy!
When you have C.P. or any other disablity, it's very hard when the person who is main care taker, and basically your entire life is taken away by brain cancer so quickly, it's very<b> DIFFICULT</b> for you too move on and you're <b>NOT</b> sure how too react, but if you <b>DON'T</b> move on you'll have a very sad life because that is <b>NOT</b> what my Mom wanted to do! Besides I choose to move on and become as independent as possiable! "All of you, please take my advice"!
So I'm pulling my boot straps and keep on truckin'! It's very scary for me too let other people help me because it's <b>NOT </b>the same way my Mom helped me! I explain to people better ways of helping me to the best of my abilty, but it's <b>NEVER</b> going be same, but that's ok because everyone is different! Some people a very simaliar too my Mom, but no one will ever take her place or could measure too the<b> MARVELOUS </b>woman that she was!
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving with their families!<strike></strike>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-24558441478517525272012-11-13T21:38:00.000-08:002012-11-13T21:51:50.443-08:00TODAY MY APARTMENT COMPLEX HAD A THANKSGIVING DINNER IN THE COMMUNITTY ROOM FOR THE RESIDENTS!Hi Every<strike></strike>one!<br />
<br />
Today my apartment complex had a Thanksgiving dinner for the residents, in the community room! They had turkey rolled around stuffing, mixed vegetables, rolls, butter and punkin pie slices, you had too supply your own drink! It was nice too visit with everyone!<br />
<br />
I'm lucky I have family too celebrate the holidays with! This may be the only Thanksgiving that some of these people have! So I'm grateful that I have a close knit family!<br />
<br />
They also have a Christmas lunch'en as well! That's people have too make sure that they pay their rent on time so the organization can afford speciaties like the Thanksgiving and Christmas lunch'in's every year! I hope they'll continue too have them for years to come!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-52340382469026730942012-09-22T07:09:00.000-07:002012-09-22T07:10:59.918-07:00TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN MY UNCLE JOHN'S 65TH BIRTHDAY!Hi Everyone!<br />
<br />
Today would have been my Uncle John's 65th birthday! He was a very generous man! He would help anyone in need of a home, job, or most anything that anyone would ask of him! He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and newphews with all of his heart! He was a hard worker, he never liked too take breaks or a vacation until all of his resposiblities were taken care of!<br />
<br />
My Uncle John was the type of man who woukl get on the floor and wrestle with the kids, or hand out gifts at Chirstmas time! There are so many things that I would too tell all of you about the incredible man we lost, but there are too many too say in one story! I know he would very proud of me living in my own apartment! That is what he always wanted for is for me too became as independent as possiable! <br />
<br />
I will always love you Uncle John , "sleep with angles"! "You were the :"<strong><u>GREATEST</u></strong>"!<br />
<br />Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6648818241079103723.post-78972447816425589992012-08-17T06:27:00.002-07:002014-06-26T15:37:16.444-07:00TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN MY MOM VICKY'S 57TH BIRTHDAY!Hi Everyone!<br />
<br />
I would like all of you too know that today would have been my Mom Vicky's 57th birthday! She passed away in 2005 from a terrible brain tumor called Glioblastomia Metaforma! She was only 49 years old, that's too young too die besides that's too young for anyone too lose their Mom, I was only 24 years old!<br />
<br />
My Mom was a remarkable woman, she was a very intelligent and liked too have fun! She would sit by the inground pool have a margegrita and get a sun tan! She also loved too go fishing! My Mom was a very integral part of my life! If there was anything that I wanted too try, she would make that happen, if I couldn't do it one way she would find another so I accomplish it!<br />
<br />
Since I have C.P. and couldn't have a regular childhod like most children, my Mom would find a way for me too have fun but still be as safe as possiable! She would take me ice skating, we would play at the park, in the sand box, go swimming, do thereapy, independent walking, and she would help me with my homework. Plus rewrite a whole school ciriculum so I would be able too understand the schoolwork! At school I would go through the motions, but at home I would learn the lessons! <br />
<br />
My Mom and I went trick-or-treating every year for Halloween! For some of you, I'm sure you wonder someone with C.P can ice skate, it's very simple! You put on the ice skates on your feet, use a walker without wheels and push the walker while you are on the ice to balance yourself so you don't fall! Mom would stand behind me and hold my waist! Then I would be free, it was a wonderful feeling!<br />
<br />
We also went horseback riding in the summertime, which was part of my Phyiscal Thereapy! I went too a horseback riding camp for children with Cerebal Palsy! Plus Whiz Kidz at Rock Valley College!<br />
<br />
At weddings my Mom would help me dance to the D.J. then I also felt <strong><u>FREE</u></strong>\! There are so many things that I would like be able too tell you about my Mom who was a <strong><u>REMARKABLE</u></strong> woman! Many people don't hold a candle to what and who my Mom really was! People that never knew her missed out on a<strong><u> WONDERFUIL</u></strong> woman, daughter, sister, wife, and mother! I miss you Mom, thanks for everything! Be with the angels, because you deserve it!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17390803021533647752noreply@blogger.com1
