TODAY IS THE SIXTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF MY MOM VICKY'S GLIOBLASTOMA BRAIN SURGREY AT SWEDISH AMERICAN HOSPITAL AT 2:00PM!

Hi Everyone! Today is the sixteenth anniversary of my Mom Vicky's Glioblastoma brain surgrey at Swedish American Hospital! I remember it was a very tough day and frightening for my family and I! We had too be at the hospital at 9:00am so the doctors and nureses could prep her for surgrey! Her surgrey was at 2:00pm My Dad John my Grandma Alice my Aunt Marica my Uncle John, my Uncle Nino, my Grandma Bena and I were all in the waiting room hoping and praying for a marvelous recovery! After about six hours Dr. Alexzandar came out too the waiting room and told my family and I that my Mom DID survive the surgrey but he only could take about the size of a grapefruit of the tumor out! All of us were very anxious and excited too see her, she was very tired and happy for the surgrey to be over with! All of us had many tears of happiness! I went home with my Aunt Marcia and Uncle John for two weeks so my Dad John could take care of my Mom Vicky and have some quailty time together! When my Dad brought my Mom home from the hospital for recovery, she walked from the car with her walker and sat down on the couch too rest, the very nest day her whole right side was paralyzed! I helped her as much as I could! My Dad John was a WONDERFUL and DEVOTED husband he took care of my Mom Vicky WONDERFULLY! I also NEVER wanted too leavve her side! She had rehab at Van Mater rehab center, my Grandpa Bill was also there recovering from his stroke so he and my Mom had their meals togther which was neat! I also helped my Mom as much as I could by helping her with her thearpy, being there for support! I learned a lot of my strength and motivation from my Mom she was one of the strongest woman I've ever known! Sadly she lost her battle with Glioblastomia and passed away on Sunday June 19th 2005 at 2:10am at the age of 49 years old!

TODAY IS THE SIXTH ANNIVERSARAY OF MY LIVING INDEPENDENTLY IN MY OWN APARTMENT!

Hi Everyone! Today is the sixth anniversary of moving into my apartment! I've made my goal in becoming a young disabled independent adult! Everything is a struggle in my life but somehow I make things look easy! When you have struggles you have too work for what you want because no one is going too give it too you! You have to earn it yourself and make your life work for you! It's doesn't matter what other people think, it matters how you as a disabled person can survie independently! Although I need assistance from other people I still am independent as I can be and that WILL continue my entire life! I'm very proud of the success I've made! I wish other people would be as brave as I have been! Sure everyone is scared if you NEVER try and experience new opportunities you'll never be independent enough too have your own life! I have chosen too be independent and work too the BEST of my abiltiy to achieve everything I want in life! So far everything I choose too do is working GREAT for me! NEVER be afraid too ask someone for help! People without CP, I call "normal" don't have a clue on what it takes for me too live my life but I also make it look easy when in reality it's NOT! I hope all you viewers take my advice!

TODAY MY APARTMENT COMPLEX HAD IT'S THANKSGIVING DINNER!

Hi Everyone! Today my apartment complex had it's Thanksgiving dinner at 1:00pm in the community room! They ordered it from ABC Catering! We had turkey, stuffing mashed potatoes, lettuce salad, gravy and pumpkin pie squares for dessert! Everything was great! They provide a Thanksgiving luncheon and a Christmas luncheon for us! Many people with disabilities can't get out or get too see their family so this the only holiday they have! That's why I stay as independent as possible so I can have the I life I choose! I just got back from Colorado visiting my family! We saw West Side Story as a dinner theater, it was AMAZING! I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving holiday with their families!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE JOHN! A LOVING TRIBUTE TOO A WONDERFUL MAN THAT WILL LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS FOR A LIFETIME!

Hi Everyone! Today would have been my Uncle John's 68th birthday! It's day also of mixed emotions for me! My Uncle John was one of the kindness men in the world that would put his wife children and family before anyone or anything else! He was one of the hardest workers that I knew plus if anyone was in need he would stop what he was doing and help them! He always accepted me as his third daughter and didn't look at my C.P.! My Dad John is also like that! I wanted too honer the two men that I admire the most in my life! My Uncle John taught me how too drive the PUG around the farm! There are SO many memories of the WONDERFUL man that we lost! I wish all of you knew him! He did everything he could too include in what ever he was doing even though it was difficult because of my C.P., but he made it work! It's a shame he and my Mom are NOT physically here too see start my adult independent life in my own apartment! They would be SO proud of me! I hope he's resting in peace! Uncle John, you were the best and never be forgotten! You will live on in my heart and my memories for a lifetime!

TODAY IS THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF ME MOVING IN MY APARTMENT!

Hi Everyone! Today is the fifth anniversary of me moving into my own apartment! It's been a life changing experience for myself and my family! It has shown me that I can have my own independent adult life! I have made many friends, just think if I was living at home I NEVER would have got too enjoy and experience new opportunities that arise my way! It's a shame that my Mom Vicky or my Uncle John weren't alive too see me move in my own apartment and become the young independent woman I am today! I'm very pleased with my progress! It's NOT meant for disabled people too live in a world that is NOT designed to suit your needs! As a disabled person you have too make accomedations that are comfortable and easy for you! If people don't agree with the kind support and help you need then they are not meant to be in your life! I'm lucky that my family and friends agree too support my wishes, feelings, and include me in their lives because many people in my position are forgotten about or put in a nursing home because their families don't want too worry about them! So dear readers, if there's any way possible of being independent DO IT because you are only helping yourself, if you DON'T do it your are only harming yourself and not experiencing new horizons!
